EOV on Dimbangombe and Community projects

Ecological Outcome Verification
on Dimbangome and Community Projects
This is our second year doing EOV (ecological outcome verification) in Dimbangombe ranch. EOV is the Savory Institute’s outcomes-based protocol for verifying land regeneration and measures the health of the ecological processes.
All we had to do this year is monitor the ecological health at our short term sites. We lucky to be running a community facilitator training program (CFTP) at the time, so we got the students involved in the process.

EOV as part of CFTP
We are looking to training all future community facilitators as short term EOV monitors. Which would allow them to proactively monitor the ecological health within their communities.
There could also potentially be the added benefit of Land to Market product certification.

Indlovu Community field day
Precious Phiri invited ACHM out to the Indlovu community field day. A day they celebrated their successes and presented prizes to the top farmers within their community. It was encouraging to see how hard the people are working to regenerate their community.
Precious explained how her next step is to get the community to start regenerating the parcels of land between their crop field and ACHM will help by setting up their community landbase with the EOV monitoring sites. So they can track their progress.

If you would like to sponsor members of this community to do the EOV training or the larger CFTP training please get in touch.
